Introduction

In today’s competitive working environment, the need for ongoing advanced training has never been greater. It is with this in mind that we have endeavoured to put craft skills back into the workforce.

“Theory without practical is barren,
Practical without theory is blind.”

The RM Skills Centre offers the opportunity to receive the theoretical and the practical skills combined and at the same time awarding a nationally recognised qualification on completion of each course.

Nowadays within the Roads and Construction Industry there is a great demand for standards to improve.

Legislative Law (The New Road and Street Works Act 1991) and the Scottish Office are insisting on the workforce being trained to specific recognised standards i.e. S.Q.A. (Scottish Qualification Authority). These qualifications are recognised throughout the UK, across Europe and Worldwide.

Our Aims

To be the best training organisation possible, ensuring craft skills continue to expand in the workforce. To ensure staff are valued and understand their working environment. To ensure a policy of open communication throughout the organisation. To increase growth through development, partnership working and expansion. To ensure superior quality of products and services are provided as standard at recognised national levels or qualifications.

In today’s competitive working environment, the need for ongoing advanced training has never been greater. To meet this need, RM Skills Centre offers the opportunity to advance in knowledge and experience at both theoretical and practical levels.

As standards continue to increase within the ROADS and CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY, employers, contractors and government alike are working to stricter controls and guidelines.

Legislation is becoming tighter, emphasising the need for sustained quality. RM Skills Centre aims to meet and surpass the quality requirements now being demanded by the industry: providing opportunity for career and personal development for individuals and market opportunities for organisations.
